Welcome to my blog!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit! We hope to share with you our journey of raising a child with Achondroplasia, the most common type of dwarfism. If this is your first time here, please start by reading Caitlyn's Story. It will share the beginning of her life with you. Enjoy!

All Good Things Must Come to an End – Part 6

On our last day with my family we had quite a busy day.  My college roommate and her family live in San Diego so we invited them to join us for lunch on Sunday.  We met Brandi, Jeremy, Cole and Avery at the Karl Strauss Brewery in Carlsbad – it was previously stated that Scott can find a brewery anywhere and he kept his word.

Brandi and I met at a summer orientation right before we started at Chico State.  We requested each other as roommates and lived together for 4 years – she is one of my dearest friends!

I just had to share this picture of Caty and Cole when they were 1.  Caty and I flew down to San Diego for Cole’s 1st birthday and then they flew up for Caty’s.

The view from the condo balcony – that’s about all the condo had to desire.

My parents have their Maui condo listed on a site called VRBO and some owners will do a swap of condo’s.  My mom found someone in Oceanside who was willing.  This condo was a mess – dirt everywhere, blinds with half an inch thick dust, chairs who’s legs were falling off…… the list goes on and on.

Anyways, back to the reason for this post

Here’s the gift that we made for my mom – she loved it!!

Todd, Erin and Riley came up later in the day and we took a walk around the condo grounds, which were really nice, and then headed to the beach.

What an amazing holiday! I loved all the pictures. That apron for your mom was just perfect. How very special. Sorry the condo was so nasty. Yuck! I am sure your parents' condo in Maui is the better deal! I am jealous that you have been walking along beaches. SO cannot wait!
