Simple Woman’s Daybook – May 31st 2011

For today – May 31st 2011

Outside my window...  it’s getting dark – not posting this on my usual day or usual time.  I’m pretty good about typing this post on Monday mornings while Caty’s at school but since yesterday was Memorial Day and we were at a Tennis Club breakfast, it kinda slipped away.  So here it is Tuesday night just before 8:00

I am thankful for... the fact that there are only 2 days left of school and then it’s summer vacation.  I can’t believe how quickly this school year went by.  Feels like Caty just started Kindergarten the other day.

I am wearing... my jammies

I am creating... not much – maybe a few more blog updates.

I am going to… be putting Hanna to bed soon – Caty’s already in bed and Hanna will be following soon enough

I am reading... “House Rules” by Jodi Picoult – yes unfortunately I’m still reading it – but have less than 100 pages to go.

I am hoping... not cry at Caty’s Kindergarten Celebration tomorrow.

I am hearing... a basketball game on the tv in the background – I know, completely different than the usual morning cartoons I post about.

Around the house...  getting things together and ready for Hanna’s birthday party on Sunday.  How can it be possible that she’s turning 2?  How many of you remember me posting on Facebook while I was in labor? :-)

A few plans for the rest of the week… Tomorrow ( Wednesday) is Caty’s Kindergarten Celebration.  Thursday is hers and Scott’s last day of school.  Caty’s class is supposed to be having a water day but the weather is sucking lately and I’m hoping that it doesn’t rain.  Friday Scott has to go down to school for a little bit in the morning to check out of his class.  Then that night he’s got a party for the retirees from his school – the girls and I opted out of going.  Saturday we don’t have much going on except for cleaning the house and getting ready for Sunday.  Sunday is Hanna’s 2nd birthday and we’re having a small party at out house.  Hanna is loving Minnie Mouse these days so a Minnie Mouse party it is. Someone else had a Minnie Mouse party when she turned 2 – picture to follow.  Sunday night we’re heading out with some friends to a free concert in the park.  A local 90’s cover band is playing – One Headlight.

A picture that I am sharing...
