Welcome to my blog!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit! We hope to share with you our journey of raising a child with Achondroplasia, the most common type of dwarfism. If this is your first time here, please start by reading Caitlyn's Story. It will share the beginning of her life with you. Enjoy!

Simple Woman’s Daybook – May 9th 2011

For today – May 2nd 2011

Outside my window...  it’s sunny but breezy – I’m tired of the wind because it’s causing my allergies and now Hanna’s to drive us nuts!!

I am thankful for... the fact that there is only a month left a school – looking forward to being able to sleep in a little bit – ok so that might mean getting up at 7:15 but that sounds much better than 6:45.

I am wearing... capris and my Chico State sweatshirt.

I am creating... blogs about our Disneyland trip – I know, STILL!!  I have so many others to catch up on too – Easter, and who knows that else!

I am going to… enjoy the last little while of quiet time because soon enough the two kiddos will be up and making lots of noise!

I am reading... “House Rules” by Jodi Picoult

I am hoping... that the breezy days come to an end – my allergies are making me miserable!

I am hearing... the wind chimes ringing outside and the tv on – thankfully it’s not a kids show.  Caty is in her room for quiet time and Hanna is napping as well.

Around the house...  the girls are in their rooms.  Hanna hasn’t been napping lately but with her allergies and early today she said her mouth hurt, she’s worn out.

A few plans for the rest of the week… not too much going on.  Scott’s got a few tennis matches and Hanna has a doctors appointment on Friday but that’s all.  Next week is going to be busy so a quiet week is fine with me.

A picture that I am sharing... we wore our yellow on Friday May 6th which was Wishbone Day to show our support to Sonya and all of the others with OI that we know.

I hope the allergy season passes you by soon (not fair to leave you guys feeling cruddy when sunshine is involved). Don't feel bad, I too am so behind on BLOG updates but take your time and upload whenever you get the chance; we'll all be waiting patiently!

The girls look so pretty in yellow; I'm happy that they showed their support in style!

Love that picture of your sweet girls!
Sorry to hear about your and Hanna's allergies - hopefully the allergy season will end soon!
Yay for having an extra 30 minutes of sleep in the morning after school is out! 30 minutes makes a big difference for me.
I saw that you have about 10 Disneyland posts - can't wait to read them and see the pics!
Hope you enjoyed your quiet week last week! Have fun with your busy week this week!
