Welcome to my blog!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit! We hope to share with you our journey of raising a child with Achondroplasia, the most common type of dwarfism. If this is your first time here, please start by reading Caitlyn's Story. It will share the beginning of her life with you. Enjoy!

Simple Woman’s Daybook – August 23rd

FOR TODAY – August 23rd
Outside my window...  there’s a slight breeze.
I am thinking...  why is it that as soon as Caty started Kindergarten, she’s all of a sudden started liking Hannah Montana.
I am thankful for... my family!
I am wearing... Shorts and a tank top
I am creating... not much right now.
I am going... to play Bunco with the ladies tonight.
I am reading... The Edge of Winter by Luanne Rice.
I am hoping... that Hanna gets a good nap in.
I am hearing... the wind chimes ringing outside.
Around the house... Hanna is napping and Caty is taking quiet time on the couch – she's watching Hannah Montana.
One of my favorite things...  is how much Caty is LOVING kindergarten!  Her teacher, Mrs Fischer, says that she just beams all morning long!  I’m so glad that she’s having fun!
A few plans for the rest of the week…  Bunco tonight, not much tomorrow or Wednesday.  Thursday is the day that Caty gets her cast off and hopefully will be returning home without a new one on.  Thursday night is Scott’s Back To School Night, but we probably won’t go – right at dinner time and too close to bedtime for Hanna.  Not much on Friday.  Saturday night I’m going out with some girlfriends to here our favorite local country band, the Chris Gardner Band play.  Sunday is the local JBF Consignment sale which Caty and I will be hitting.  Then after that, right near the state capital, will be KNCI’s Country in the Park, featuring the Eli Young Band, Sunny Sweeny, Jack Ingram and the fabulous Dierks Bentley.  Melisa and the kids will be meeting us there.  Can’t wait!!
A picture that I am sharing...  how cute is my little chef?

Jaime, that is an adorable picture of Hanna! I'm not sure what happens when little girls turn 5, but it definitely moves them past Dora to Hannah Montana in a hurry!

That's the cutest little chef I've ever seen! Looks like she's cooking up something yummy!

Hanna is an adorable little chef! You have a lot on your plate these next few days. I am so hoping Caty can get her cast off for good. I am so happy to hear she is enjoying kindergarten. What a relief to know that she is beaming! Not that there was any question. Hugs to you!
