I Can’t Believe That She’s 5!!

Our sweet Caty turned 5 on Friday March 19th.  Instead of spending the morning with her friends at preschool, we spent the morning at the Skeletal Dysplasia Clinic for Caty’s annual checkup.  The clinic has moved from Oakland, CA to Roseville, Ca, which is a wonderful thing.  Oakland is about an hour and a half from us, which isn’t too bad, seeing as some parents have to fly to visit with specialists.  But Roseville is only 15 minutes from us.  I know – super cool to have it so dang close!  Scott’s mom, Sandra (also known as Tutu, which is grandma in Hawaiian) and sister, Auntie Christine, flew up from Southern CA Thursday evening so they could come and watch Hanna on Friday morning, while we were at the clinic.  Everything checked out well and we were out of there in a little over 2 hours – would have been sooner but I offered up my friendly services and talked with a family who’s son is 2.5 years old.  They aren’t involved with LPA but want to be.

After finishing at the clinic, we headed home and hung out for the afternoon.  The sun was shining so we spent some time in the front yard – so Caty could wait for my parents to arrive - playing soccer.  They arrived and the birthday girl had requested pizza for dinner.  We enjoyed cupcakes too!

Caty got to open her presents from Scott’s dad, my brother and his family, my parents and us.  She got some great things.

Saturday morning everyone showed back up, after spending the night in a hotel.  Caty got to open her presents from Tutu and Auntie Christine.

Then the decorating got underway – let’s just say that it looked like it exploded polka dots in our house!

I think you did an AMAZING job on the party and the decor. Caty looks so thrilled in every picture. Like I told you on Facebook-I love all these pics of Caty. And if memory serves me without going to POLP-I believe that pic of Caty looking out the door-she was dressed in that beautiful dress your mother made. Happy Birthday Sweet CAty!!!!
