Pregnancy Update

Well, here I am, just over 2 weeks until my due date. I can’t believe how quickly this pregnancy has flown by. It seems like just yesterday we were sharing the news with everyone. But that was back in December.

36 weeks

I’m doing well, except for the cough I caught from Caty 2 weeks ago. The cough then turned into a stuffy nose and a plugged up left ear that is constantly ringing. I saw the doctor yesterday and she prescribed some Amoxicillin to help clear up my ear. When she looked into it, she said “wow, that’s really inflamed” – no kidding! No wonder why I can barely hear out of it. Hopefully it’ll clear up soon.

As you’ve seen from another post, we’ve got Caty moved into her new room. Hanna’s room is basically ready for her, we just need to get a few things up on her walls and the crib set up. My parents will be staying with us for a few days after her birth so during that time she’s going to be in her bassinet in our room and they will be on the blow-up bed in her room. We’ll get the crib set up once they head home.

My due date is June 16th but I’m hoping that she’ll arrive a little early, but not before next Friday – for a number of reasons: 1) Scott’s last day of school is Wednesday, 2) Caty’s last day of school is Thursday and 3) my parents won’t be back from San Diego until Wednesday. They’ll head up here (a 2 hour drive) once I go into labor – one of our friends will watch Caty until they can get here. My parents will then hang out at our house until I start pushing, then head over to the hospital with Caty – it’s about a 20 minute drive.

I have a question for you mom’s out there that have more than one child – did your labors start the same way? From my friends that I have talked with, their labors started the same way, either their water breaking or contractions.

Scott’s school threw us a Baby Shower last week. We ended up with almost all clothes, which found their way back to the stores. Caitlyn has so many clothes, so Hanna is well stocked! We ended up buying things off of our own registry from Babies R Us. Hey, however we get the stuff that we need!

I wish I knew what going ito labor meant. With Audrey I was induced. That girl was too stubborn to come out. With Nate(LP)I had a scheduled c-section. So I never had to worry about a contraction and rushing to the hospital.

My labours were both very different. Matthew started off very slowly at home, but Tori was induced. Hope this one goes well for you and look forward to seeing pics soon. Thinking of you all.

You look great! Wow - any day now. How exciting! I was induced with Liz and ultimately had an emergency c-section and I know my dr. wants a c-section for this baby too. We'll see. Keep us posted.

You look fantastic!!! To answer your question, all of my pregnancies and labors were completely different! Zoe my first was easy peasy! My water broke big time and after only 3 hours of labor (she practically flew out!) she was here. Then there was stubborn Akela. My water didn't break and I had lot's of lower back pressure and pain (back labor). She was a very long drawn out labor and they considered a emergency c-section when she turned around in the birth canal but it was too late and she finally made her appearance. I pretty much called Sonya's birthday! Since my older two girls were exactly 2 weeks early I told my doctors that I wouldn't be seeing them on her planned c-section day, but rather 2 weeks earlier and I was right! My water broke but it was barely noticible and we hightailed it to the emergency room. I only had about 2 weak contractions by the time they gave me my first glimpse of her! I'm wishing you the best of luck! I can't wait to see pictures of your new sweetheart! I bet Caty is super excited! Hugs!

All four of my labors were different. Ari was the only one (my second) I went into labor with at home. The others I was induced and even all three of those were so different. They gave me the same drugs with both boys to induce me but with Noah, I had an allergic reaction to it. They were baffled because I had it with Aiden and I was fine. Good luck! We're looking forward to seeing Hanna's pic soon!

You look so great - all belly!! I'm so excited for you guys and can't wait to see pictures of Hanna! I wish you the best of luck with the delivery! I had a c-section with Simon and am having one again with this baby.
That is great that your parents will be there to help out with Caty and then Hanna after she arrives!
That was sweet of Scott's school to have a baby shower for you, and I'm glad that you could get some things off of your registry! We'll be thinking of you guys!

You look fabulous. I am so excited to hear about Hanna's arrival. And then you must take pictures of the new nursery! I cannot help you in the labor department since I have only one child and was scheduled for a c-section with him. Feel good and keep your feet up!

I wish I had input on the whole labor thing...I was induced with the first two, and went into labor with Pey only to have a c-section in the end, so I'm not much help!

I am so excited for you guys welcoming another princess and hope it all goes smoothly for you!! I can't wait to see pictures of her and Caty, so exciting!

You are looking so great! I bet Caty is very excited to be a big sister. Andrea and Mike were different labors. Only because they decided to take Andrea at 28 weeks by C-section. Sorry I couldn't be more of a help on that one.

You look great Jaime! Good luck with the last two weeks! I can't wait to see pics of adorable Hanna! I am sure Caty can't wait to be a big sister!

First I love the girls' rooms! Super cute! Your dad made them beautiful dressers - Hanna's is wonderful! Second, I got induced with Taylor and didn't progress with Trace, so ended up with the emergency C-Section, I'm not much help either. Hopefully the second will be easier than the first! Can't wait to see pictures of Hanna - and Big Sister Caty!
