Twas the Night Before Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve, but a busy one.  Scott took Caty out in the morning and Caty used her own money to buy Hanna a Christmas present.  Here she is wrapping it.  You’ll have to wait until the next post from Christmas Day to find out what it was.  Caty was so proud of herself for wrapping it.

Hanna spent some time working on her newest trick – sitting up on her own.

The shirt says it all - “Good Things Come In Small Packages”

We invited a few friends over to join us for pizza – I know, not the most traditional Christmas Eve dinner, but with a houseful of kids who were excited about going out afterwards to look at Christmas lights,  the pizza was a hit.  Izabel is one of Caty’s best friends from her preschool class.  So we were joined by Izabel, and her siblings Zack and Emma, Beverly who is staying with Izabel’s family and Izabel’s moms Kelly and Farah.  The kids played with quite possibly every toy that Caty has.  I should have taken a pictures of the toy tornado that came through but I forgot.  After an early dinner, we bundled all 6 kids up and headed over to Rocklin where there is a street – Pebble Creek - who decorates to the max.  The kids had an ABSOLUTE BLAST!  That’s putting it mildly.  Caty was so excited, yelling and running from house to house.  We spent about an hour walking along the street looking at the lights.  I’m surprised that Caty walked almost the whole time – her poor little legs were working twice as hard.  But she didn’t complain at all.  We visited the street last year on Christmas Eve and I think it’s going to become an annual tradition.

How adorable! I can't wait to see what Caty got! She looked so excited over it! Love the beautiful pictures of your goreous girls together! So sweet! Hannah's shirt is so cute! I see Caty is making good use of her "good things come in small packages" shirt! Sonya would've been able to wear hers again if it weren't for that bulky arm cast! Looks like you all had a very fun time checking out all the outdoor lights! Great pictures of all the kids! You can really see all the pure excitement! Merry Christmas!!!

First off, I totally LOVE Hanna's shirt! :o) Sadly, Nikki had a mini-growth spurt and popped out of her 12mo shirt like Caty's and I couldn't find it this year in an 18mo. Oh well!

How cool that Caty went and chose a present for her sister! We were going to do that with the girls this year, but then there was a blizzard and we got stuck at home - maybe next year! :o)

Those lights were cool - my parent's neighborhood goes pretty all out too, and it was always fun walking the girls around to let them see all the lights.

Wow! Caty looked so excited in every single one of these pictures. You can see Christmas joy in her eyes. I absolutly love that she wrapped Hanna's gift all by herself. And wrote out the tag. Absolutely precious. I love the pic of the girls together. Wow I cannot believe Hanna is already sitting up! Time sure does fly. I think pizza is awesome. When we were little our tradition on Christmas Eve was Roy Rogers because everyone came over for Christmas Day and as kids we thought that was the best. I love all the pictures of Caty with the lights. What a great tradition to start!

We've never been to that street in Rocklin and I keep hearing about it...maybe next year. Looks like Caty had a blast! And beautiful shots of the girls together...Hanna is really growing!

The girls are adorable and I love both of their t-shirts!
Good thing we didn't see those Christmas decorations ... I would NOT have been able to get Caden out of the yard with Buzz & Woody!
