Welcome to my blog!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit! We hope to share with you our journey of raising a child with Achondroplasia, the most common type of dwarfism. If this is your first time here, please start by reading Caitlyn's Story. It will share the beginning of her life with you. Enjoy!

Apple Hill

This was our 2nd trip to Apple Hill.  After living in the Sacramento area for 10 years now, it’s pretty pathetic to say that we’ve only been twice, but I guess you have to start traditions somewhere and we started it last year.  Here’s the blog that I posted on our visit last year – Apple Hill 2009.  This year however my parents joined us.  We started the day off with having to hang in the car for a good 15 minutes because as we got to the first stop it was pouring!  Luckily it stopped and eventually the sun came out.
Here’s Caty getting her face painted at High Hill.  Believe it or not, the same guy from last year did it again this year.  I have to say that I liked last years choice better – but she still looked cute!

And our final stop was at Willow Pond for some apple picking.  I’m really surprised at how few orchards actually allow visitors to pick their own apples.  We stumbled across this place last year, thanks to Melisa, and because we were kind of late in the season there weren’t many apple left, but their year we did much better.

I LOVE these pictures!! Your beautiful girls are so sweet!! I love the pictures of Caty helping Hanna walk along! Great family picture and great picture of the girls with your parents! I'm so glad that the rain stopped and the sun came out for you guys! Looks like you had a wonderful day! We love going apple picking too, but we missed out on going this year, so it will be one our first fall festivities next year.
