Welcome to my blog!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit! We hope to share with you our journey of raising a child with Achondroplasia, the most common type of dwarfism. If this is your first time here, please start by reading Caitlyn's Story. It will share the beginning of her life with you. Enjoy!

Simple Woman’s Daybook – April 11th 2011

For today – April 11th 2011

Outside my window...  the sun is trying to make an appearance

I am thinking... that we’ll go for a walk in a little bit.

I am thankful for... the warm weather that we’re having!  Yay for Spring FINALLY showing up!

I am wearing... my jammies still – it’s Spring Break, no need to get dress yet.

I am creating... a few blog posts – Caty’s Kindergarten Hoedown, the visit with the farm animals at her school, my LPA Fundraiser update, our LPA Easter Event.  And I’m sure that there will be more.

I am going to… enjoy this 2 week break that Caty has – sure is nice to not have to be up at 6:45 and out the door at 7:40.  It’s almost 10 and I’m still in my jammies.

I am reading... The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks

I am hoping... that Hanna heads to bed earlier tonight than last night.  She played outside in the backyard for over 2 hours yesterday afternoon so I thought for sure she’s crash early.  It was 9:30 when she FINALLY headed to bed.  She just kept playing and playing.

I am hearing... Dora shouting “Vamanos!!  Let’s Go!”

Around the house...  Hanna is watching a show in the living room and Caty is watching one in our room – and I’m getting this blog post typed with some peace and quiet

A few plans for the rest of the week…  since it’s Caty’s Spring Break, we don’t have much going on until Saturday.  We’re driving down to San Diego with my parents for a visit with my brother and his family.  Then on Sunday we’ve got some REALLY exciting plans that Caty is going to LOVE!!  More to come on that later as it’s a surprise to her.

A picture that I am sharing...

Sweet pictures! I still can't picture Caty being naughty ... I've been in denial about a few of your FB status's when you say she isnt behaving :)

Love it when you can stay in your jammies most of the morning! Yay for a 2 week spring break!
Glad I'm catching up now as it sounds like you have a lot more great posts on the way!
Let me know what you think of that book please. I've picked it up the last several times I've been at the bookstore and then I remind myself I need to get through the book I've started and yet to finish. It's been tough finding time to read lately (other than books to the boys), and when I do, I'm so excited to catch up on blogs - you never disappoint with so many to read and so many cute pictures! :)
What an exciting trip - saw some of your posts on Facebook this morning! I can only imagine how surprised Caty was!!
Love the pictures of your adorable girls!!
