Welcome to my blog!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit! We hope to share with you our journey of raising a child with Achondroplasia, the most common type of dwarfism. If this is your first time here, please start by reading Caitlyn's Story. It will share the beginning of her life with you. Enjoy!

Simple Woman’s Daybook – October 25th 2010

FOR TODAY – October 25th 2010
Outside my window...   everything is drying out from yesterdays rain – it poured for most of the day.
I am thinking...  about Christmas gift ideas for the girls
I am thankful for...  the fact that both girls are napping today
I am wearing... capris, t-shirt and sweater
I am creating... a few blogs to post – this one, one about our quick trip to Tahoe, our LPA Pumpkin Patch event, our trip to Apple Hills with my parents and I’m deciding which picture to use for my Wordless Wednesday post.
I am going...  to make Chicken Caesar  Salad for dinner tonight with homemade croutons – YUMMY!
I am reading... The Time Traveler's Wife – by Audrey Niffenegger
I am hoping... to get some extra reading done this week.  I’m really enjoying the Time Traveler’s Wife but just don’t get much reading time.
I am hearing... Caty snoring in her room (so thankful that she’ll be getting her tonsils and adenoids out soon), and the tv
Around the house...  it smells like apples and cinnamon candles.
One of my favorite things... is Pumpkin Pie Spice coffee creamer!!
A few plans for the rest of the week…  Tuesday - I think that Hanna and I will head to Toys R Us as my mom sent me some money to get Hanna a gift for after her surgery.  Wednesday - Hanna has her pre-op appointments.  Thursday – not much, just have to bake some cookies or cupcakes for the Fall Carnival at Caty’s school on Saturday.  And the dreaded Friday, usually the day that we all look forward to.  Hanna is having her tear duct surgery Friday morning.  I’ll take Hanna over to the hospital and Scott will drop Caty off at school then he’ll join me.  Not sure what time her surgery is scheduled for or how long it will last.  I’ll find that our on Wednesday.  Caty’s going to go home after school with her friend Kylie – thanks Lisa – until we’re home.  Saturday is the Fall Carnival but will have to see how things are going with Hanna.  Saturday night, I’m supposed to go out with some girlfriends to hear my friend Chris’ band play.  Will have to see how Hanna’s doing.
A picture that I am sharing... a preview from our Apple Hill adventure.
