Simple Woman’s Daybook – April 26th 2011

For today – April 26th 2011

Outside my window... the sun is shining and it’s starting to warm up!!

I am thinking... how quiet the house is this morning with it being just Hanna and myself. :-)

I am thankful for... the fact that Spring Break is over and Caty is back in school! :-) Yes, I need that 3 hour break from her!

I am wearing... capris and a tshirt

I am creating... nothing.. except maybe some blog posts later today – I’m “creating” them in my head.

I am going to… catch up on blog posts this week… have several posts that I want to do.

I am reading... nothing yet… I just pulled out “House Rules” by Jodi Picoult and hope to start it tonight or tomorrow.

I am hoping... that Hanna goes to sleep tonight without issues – last night I put her in there and she screamed as loud as she could “MOMMY!!! MOMMY!!!!” Over and over again, had to rock and rock and rock her to sleep.

I am hearing... the neighbors dogs barking…they are always barking, even at 6 in the morning – really pisses me off!

Around the house... Hanna is doing some cooking in her kitchen.

A few plans for the rest of the week… not much except that Caty and Scott are back in school. YAY!! Scott has multiple tennis matches this weekend, 2 each day, so we’ll probably head out and watch at least one of them.

Easter Bunny Time!!

A few weekends ago the Chase family hosted our LPA Chapter’s Easter event. It was a beautiful day and we had a good turnout.

Meeting the Easter Bunny – we weren’t sure how Hanna was going to do, but as you can see from the pictures, she LOVED the bunny.

She followed the bunny EVERYWHERE and continuously waved until the bunny left.

It's A Hoedown

Caty’s kindergarten class has been studying farm life and as the trimester came to an end, they had some fun with it.

Thursday, April 7th, farm animals were brought to school so the kids could see them up close. Hanna and I “happened” to walk by when it was time for Caty’s class to be out there. The parents were told that we wouldn’t be allowed in the gates, so Caty’s teacher let me know what time they would be going out to see them.

Unfortunately that was the only picture I got of her with the animals because I was busy chasing Hanna around, making sure that she didn’t run off into the street – she wasn’t very interested in seeing the animals.

On Friday, we were invited to the Kindergarten Hoedown – can I just say it was the cutest thing EVER!!
