Welcome to my blog!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit! We hope to share with you our journey of raising a child with Achondroplasia, the most common type of dwarfism. If this is your first time here, please start by reading Caitlyn's Story. It will share the beginning of her life with you. Enjoy!

Simple Woman’s Daybook – March 7th, 2011

For today – March 7th 2011

Outside my window...  the sun is finally shining through the clouds

I am thinking...  that there are only 116 days until the LPA National Convention in Anaheim!!  YAY!!

I am thankful for... the sunshine today!

I am wearing... jeans and a fleece sweatshirt

I am creating... not much right now besides this blog post

I am going to…  hopefully start walking soon – it’s just been too cold in the mornings to head out with Hanna, who doesn’t like the cold or when it’s windy.  Come on Spring weather!

I am reading... nothing – haven’t started a new book yet

I am hoping... that the sun keeps shining all week long!

I am hearing... Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson singing “Don’t You Wanna Stay”  - I sure love this song!

Around the house...  Hanna is playing with her doll house and keeps saying “mommy” although she’s not talking to me but the doll house mommy – kinda confuses me each time she says “mommy”

A few plans for the rest of the week…  I’ll be busy getting all of my stuff ready for the JBF Consignment Sale which is this weekend – kinda bittersweet selling all of our baby stuff :-( I have to have it all ready to go by Wednesday which is the day to drop it off and get it set up at the Convention Center.  On Friday we’re going to head over to my parents after Caty is out of school – my brother, sister in law and niece will be up visiting.  Scott will head home with the girls and I’ll head out to the Wrangler with some girlfriends for some awesome country music by the Chris Gardner Band.  Saturday we aren’t up to much, then on Sunday afternoon I have to head down to the Convention Center to help with the breakdown of the JBF Sale and to pick up my items that didn’t sell.  Lots to do!!

A picture that I am sharing...

How cute are they?! Love their matching outfits and beautiful smiles!
I really like that song too, and I hope to see Jason Aldean in concert someday (heard he puts on an awesome show)!
Too funny - I would be confused hearing Hanna say "mommy" over and over but actually talking to her dolls. :)
Aww - I can imagine it is bittersweet getting all of your baby things ready for the consignment sale. I'll probably be so sad when that day comes for us, or who knows, maybe I'll be ready at that point.
Good luck getting everything done this week, and have fun!
