Welcome to my blog!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit! We hope to share with you our journey of raising a child with Achondroplasia, the most common type of dwarfism. If this is your first time here, please start by reading Caitlyn's Story. It will share the beginning of her life with you. Enjoy!

Let the Birthday Fun Begin

It’s so hard to believe that Caitlyn turned 6 this past Saturday – the time since she was born has just flown by.

Here she is, home from school, with her birthday crown on.  She was super excited about getting this crown at school.  She’d been talking about it for days.

Hanna was super excited to see the punching balloons that she gave Caty.  Hanna’s gift was a bunch of little things in groups of 6 – 6 punching balloons, 6 pencils, 6 silly bands and 6 stamps

Scott and I got Caty a “Make Your Own Headband” kit.  She loved it!

I am sitting here with tears in my eyes reading your last post-your letter to Caty. Seriously crying. It was so perfect, so wonderful and so heart felt. I thank God everyday for bringing Preston into my life because I have met you, my dear friend and I know Caty and Preston will be friends for life. Her smile is always one to put a smile on my face in return. Watching her whether it be in her tutu (couple posts ago) or with leprechaun ears, or with a crown, or folling around with Hanna, she is amazing. You have done a great job raising her! I am so proud to know you. Happy Birthday sweet Caty. We love you to pieces.
