Welcome to my blog!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit! We hope to share with you our journey of raising a child with Achondroplasia, the most common type of dwarfism. If this is your first time here, please start by reading Caitlyn's Story. It will share the beginning of her life with you. Enjoy!

It’s Preschool Time

I just realized that I never posted pictures from Caty’s first day back at preschool.  She started back on August 17th and she was so excited about returning.  All of her friends from last years class returned along with several new friends.  Her class has already been on their first field trip – to The Report Card, which is an educational store, or “the teacher store” as Caty calls it.  The kids were read a story – The Kissing Hand – and got to make a puppet to go along with the book.  Snack was served (she’s not having problems eating snack like she did at the beginning of last school year) and a few songs were sung.  It was a fun place to visit.

Sounds like a great start to the year! So glad that Caty isn't having snack issues! As always, Caty is cute as a button, and I love the princess backpack!

I love Caty's backpack. She was dressed so pretty that day. The kissing hand is a cute book. Ashleigh was given that book the first day she started Kindergarten...the teacher really knew how to make the parents cry that morning.
