Welcome to my blog!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit! We hope to share with you our journey of raising a child with Achondroplasia, the most common type of dwarfism. If this is your first time here, please start by reading Caitlyn's Story. It will share the beginning of her life with you. Enjoy!

Forgot to post this yesterday
Here are some pictures of Caty at 16 months – this was up at our family cabin in July of 2006.

Simple Woman’s Daybook – October 18th 2010

FOR TODAY – October 18th 2010
Outside my window...   it finally feels like fall – it’s cool (not 95 * like last Monday), the birds are chirping and there’s a slight breeze
I am thinking...  about what to make for dinner tonight – I think we’ll have Mongolian Beef and rice – sounds yummy!
I am thankful for...  the fact that both girls are in their rooms and taking rests.
I am wearing... capris and a t-shirt
I am creating... absolutely nothing today.
I am going...  to have to wait until Christmas time to meet my newest niece – Scott’s sister welcomed Desiree into the world on Oct 12th.
I am reading... The Time Traveler's Wife – by Audrey Niffenegger
I am hoping... that the girls both take good, long naps!!
I am hearing... Hanna talking in her room – hopefully she’ll be asleep soon; Little People Big World on the tv – catching up on some DVR’d showed and the clothes tumbling around in the dryer.
Around the house...  all is quiet – at least in the living room.
One of my favorite things... was visiting friends this past weekend in Tahoe – blog post to follow – thanks for having us Steagall  Family.
A few plans for the rest of the week… not too much that’s exciting going on this week.  Walking in the morning after dropping Caty off at school, running some errands, that’s about it.
A picture that I am sharing... I’m actually going to share two today  - Kind of a photo trivia game.  You’ll have to look very carefully at both of them, especially the one of Caty.  Let’s see who can figure it out.

Flashback Friday

flashThis road trip was back in June of 2004, right before I got pregnant with Caty – no I didn’t get pregnant on the trip.  We drove up through Oregon to Montana where my cousins live.
Here we are at Crater Lake Oregon

My cousin Jon, and his wife Brooklin and their two boys.  Justin was almost 3 – he’s now 9 – and Logan was almost 1 – he’s now 7.  Jon and Brooklin have added two more boys to the family since then.

What a fun trip this one.  We’d love to make a trip back to Montana someday but I don’t know about traveling in the car for that long with our girls.
