Welcome to my blog!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit! We hope to share with you our journey of raising a child with Achondroplasia, the most common type of dwarfism. If this is your first time here, please start by reading Caitlyn's Story. It will share the beginning of her life with you. Enjoy!

Not much news here...

Well, we don't have much news to share, but I thought I would do a post anyways.

Hanna will be 3 weeks tomorrow. She is doing well. She is eating like there is no tomorrow, unlucky for me, as I'm the milk source around here. If I do get out, I'm pretty much have to stay close by so I can get home if and when she needs to eat. We have yet to introduce the bottle - they say after 3 or 4 weeks - so anyday now. She is sleeping pretty well. At night, we'll get about a 3 hour stretch out of her, not too bad. She's usually up around 1:30 and then again around 5:00, give or take. So if you're up at those times you might find me on Facebook, as Ellen did one night. I think it was around 4:00 that we chatted one night. You ask why am I on Facebook? Well, when I do wake up to nurse her, afterwards I find myself quite hungry, so I grab a snack before heading back to bed.

Back to Hanna - over all she's a pretty happy baby, unless she's getting her diaper or outfit changed, then she SCREAMS and SCREAMS and SCREAMS some more!!

Caitlyn just loves her new job as big sister. Although she does have her moments – a little bit of jealousy going on. It’s got to be hard, going from having ALL THE ATTENTION, to having to share it – with Hanna getting quite a bit more of it. But Caty is quite the helper – she helps with throwing the dirty diapers into the diaper pail, she sings to Hanna and tries to entertain her. She’s doing a great job!

That’s about it for us – not much else to report. Enjoy the pictures!

The pictures of the girls are so sweet! Looks like Hanna isn't giving mommy too much of a hard time so you can get some momments to yourself.

Very sweet pictures. Caty looks like she adores Hanna. It must be a tad hard for her-sharing attention now especially since she had it for four years! I LOVE the picture of the two of them sleeping on the couch. Too much! Love it!

Adorable pictures - Caty and Hanna are so precious together!! Love the picture of them sleeping together on the couch! I'm glad to hear that everything is going well! I can't believe that she is 3 weeks old already!
I definitely remember the days of not going far from the house between the 3 hour feeding shifts with Simon, and I was just telling Jason the other day that we won't be going far from home for a few months after this baby arrives for the same reason. :)

Isn't it crazy how hungry and thirsty you get after nursing?! I was just ravenous! LOL! Sounds like all is well! I love all the adorable pictures of your two beautiful girls! The naptime pic is too cute!!!

Awwww, not much news, but tons of cuteness! Glad you are all well, and it will definitely be an adjustment for Caty. Tay was 2 1/2 when Trace was born, and was really excited for a few weeks, then was like "When do we take him back to the hospital?" As if he was just on loan...

Those pictures make me get so excited about our new baby and Liz's role as a big sister. Glad she hasn't been too jealous. I'm sure Liz will have a bit of jealousy too - only normal, but she looks like she's taking her now job VERY seriously!!
