Things at school

Caitlyn has now been in preschool for about a month and a half and is LOVING it. The activities they have out for the kids everyday are so creative and Caitlyn loves seeing what's on the tables each morning when we get there. She is also a HUGE fan of the painting activity. She has come home with so many art projects, we've had to create a folder to keep them all in.

She still isn't eating snack while there. She doesn't eat much of a breakfast either beforehand, so I'm wondering if she still might have some anxiety about going. But after school she always tells me how much fun she had. The teachers have a snack song that they sing with the kids, so I got Caty to sing it for me and we talked a little bit about her not eating snack - it was a pretty funny conversation.

She is also learning lots of other songs and they do some dancing everyday. One day she came home and told me that they floated like a feather. When she mentioned this, all I could think of was "light as a feather, stiff as a board" - any of you remember this? Anyways, I got her to show me how they float like feathers. It's pretty cute.

That was adorable! Seamus watched the videos with me and said "She's cute!" LOVE the floating like a feather...both of my kids had to mimic it after seeing Caty do it!

She is so cute. Andrea would definitely eat the cupcake. How cute is it that she kisses the camera after she is done. Priceless.

Oh, my gosh! She is just too cute! Sonya enjoyed watching the videos with me! I love how she kisses the camera goodbye, looks like you have a future actress on your hands! I'm so glad she is enjoying school. Zoe used to not eat her snack either! She still has yet to use the restroom at school too, I'm hoping it's not a phobia.

Ok so the fact that she kisses the camera is too much cuteness for me to handle. Caty bug darling-don't make me send Preston out to the west coast to help you learn to eat snack. His favorite word is snack! She is too cute. I love floating like a feather. My take is that they learned about feathers and she is mimicking the teacher.
So cute!

Watching her float like a feather is very relaxing, she's better than a "soothing sounds machine".

I woldn't worry too much about her not eating snack at school. I was the same way, she'll eat when she feels comfortable. If you bring it up too often she may feel pressured and "ashamed of herself" for not doing what everyone else thinks she should. The last thing you want is for her to think she is "silly" for not eating snack. This is where peer pressure starts. Today your saying she's "silly" for not eating snack (so she eats)and in a few years her friends say she is "silly" for not taking a drink (so she drinks).
